Un-Boring Your Orange Juice
If you are looking for an anti inflammatory orange juice recipe, then you have come to the right place!
My friend has the most amazingly sweet oranges growing in her sunny Los Angeles yard. She knows that when they are ready to go I’m in need of at least 2 bags filled to the brim when I visit.
I don’t normally drink juice unless it’s fresh, but one day I decided I wanted to “un-boring” my morning OJ by adding a few simple ingredients. Here’s my little recipe and some healthy tidbits to why this freshly squeezed orange juice drink is so good for you, especially if you’re looking for reduce inflammation in your body.
To a glass I added:
- 2-4 freshly squeezed oranges (depends on the size)
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (can also use fresh)
- 1/2 cup aloe juice (I get mine from Trader Joe’s)
- pinch of black pepper (optional, but helps your body absorb the tumeric)
- 1-2 scoops of collagen powder
